Hello! My name is Rebecca Finch and I am from Durham, North Carolina. I am currently studying Event Management at High Point University in High Point North Carolina. 

 

   I was first introduced to the idea of Event Management at my part time job in high school. I worked on the weekends at an elite hair salon, Posh. I was a receptionist at the front desk but on Saturdays I organized the bridal parties who attended the salon.  Organizing bridal parties was a stressful, but fun and exciting job. I worked with the hair stylists and makeup artists making sure that they stayed on time and were taking the correct clients back to their stations. What I enjoyed more than helping my coworkers stay on schedule, was keeping the clients and excited about their big day.

   I enjoyed helping plan the wedding parties, but I really want to plan Music Festivals. In high school I was in the chamber chorus at my school. When I started singing in high school I was introduced to my love for music. Music consumed me. I spent most of my time during the school day singing with my friends and studying music theory. I enjoy live music, and attending concerts of any kind. After attending a large music festival my senior year, I soon realized that is what I want to do after college.

   Getting to plan music festivals would be a dream come true. I am so excited to be studying Event Management at High Point University. In the future I hopefully will be able to combine my skills of planning events, with my passion and love for music and music performance.
